At the risk of repeating myself, they have a pretty much fixed wage (excluding private work) they are generally in the top 1% of exam scores,? so they could get pretty much any job they want. Compared to bankers, engineers and lawyers, they aren't massive earners. The only reason they have higher average wages is because they all get the same wage, there aren't really any lower echelons like there are in most other professions!

My father is a hardworking man, an architect, and when the recession came, his practice went bankrupt. He got I think only two weeks of unemployment? benefit, and then he was on his own. NO, as I said, I'm fully in favour of reviewing Health and Safety, especially in regard to the instance that you mentioned. I think that's just stupid; soldiers are soldiers because they want to fight, and it involves risking your life. No, they have an equivalent of the 11+ now, I don't know what it's called, but it does exist. Colour has nothing to do with how schools choose people, but faith schools certainly have a criteria. And yes, I do know that Private Schools have a fund for promising students; I know someone that got into Merchant Taylors on it. But it's just silly and implausible to suggest that the ENTIRE school system should be nationalised. It wouldn't work; there's millions of kids to find? schools for.

Even with completely private schools, there are a limited number of spaces in each? school; you can't just go to whatever school you like. They have the 11+ exam for promising students. If you pass this, then you're released to apply for any school in the country. And in case you hadn't noticed, schools really are allowed to do their own thing, that's why they have OFSTED. Trust me, I remember applying for secondary school as clear as day.

After 16 years as a photojournalist, I've met thousands of people. I've been on photo calls similar to this one where rules were ignored and toes stepped on. The one who starts screaming and making a scene is almost always seen as a loose cannon who might have a hidden agenda. Very rarely is that person taken as seriously, or portrayed as such...just look at the negative comments here. My only problem with that scenario is that eventually there are more people needing help than the workers can support. This is an issue in the US at the moment. The? Well we are brothers in the sense that we know what is right and what is wrong. It is wrong to try to take away a? system that provides many disadvantaged citizens the care, and has made the UK a healthier nation than the US as a whole. Americans are in support of such a system but we don't even collectively realize it yet. Guiding lights like the UK need to keep their universal healthcare systems to sink in their positive example.
