Sorry? to hear that and with all due respect it seems rather interesting that your mother was the person who gave birth to you and your two brothers yet its apparently your father's fault that you and your brothers aren't straight. My mother who be so happy to have three sons and their sexuality wouldn't be a issue but I won't speak ill of your mother because I've never met her and thank you sharing such a personal story.

Neither are the large amount of mammals that have homosexual intercourse but they don't let that get? in the way.

Because religious documents are patently divisive. It sets one group of people the believers of a specific belief above all others. In a country composed of many different people and faiths. You only? need to see the state of Christians and Jews in Islamic countries. Of course those within the "in" group would see this in a favorable light.

Because religion has a bias, removing? religion removes the bias. Laws should be non-bias and for the greater good, I don't agree with weed being illegal but at least there is a valid argument for why its illegal.

Well if that's the case then why should non-religious people be? able to make rules over religious people? It works both ways! :L

Thank you for your overpopulation theory. I don't have time to explain how if you do the math, and work out how much space man actually? uses for all activities it is much less than 10% of the earth's surface. Famines are created by manipulation of money, people starve because they have no money, not because there is no food. That is how we have an obesity problem in the west and famines in the third world. That is also why even though food prices are so high, farmers aren't getting rich.

Is leviticus not made up of laws to: 1) Make Jews stand out as diff race (this one deff true) 2) Health rules- I read an article recently saying the basic translation is basically saying being gay is a health risk (what abomination used to mean) not God condemning it. e.g We now eat food leviticus told us not to, as it was only for the above 2 reasons it was a law. Not sure if true, but even if its not? 100% agree with u.

As a Christian, I believe that homosexuality isn't wrong, or necessarily a sin. Sure, in the Old Testament it does say that God doesn't like homosexuals, and i'm not denying that, but that's beside the point. I believe that Jesus died for our sins, and because of that, God loves us unconditionally no matter what; no matter what we do or who we fall in love with or? whatever. But that's just my opinion based on what I believe, so please no one get mad at me. :D DFTBA!

If you don't see how the idea that "Not procreating = murder" is nonsense by now, there is little use in continuing this discussion. The bible must be very convenient, as must praying? be. I don't have a book I can go to for answers, I have to think things through quite thoroughly when dealing with the finer nuances of morality. I also can't close my eyes, think of a solution to a problem, grab the first thing that comes to mind and call it "divine inspiration" in good conscience. Please think.
By: uruson. on 22 May 12, 10:42:03
If "Not procreating = murder", the government would probably be trying to increase procreation as much as possible in order to lessen potential murder to the utmost degree. One such way? would be to make men able to bear children, either through genetic manipulation or through transplants and various hormone injections. So, if we're talking about "potential" here, I'd say that being born a man would --in such a society-- make little difference.

It makes? me sad that most the people commenting don't understand what a discussion/debate is. Also that the arguments they bring have already been pushed out by this video in itself. smh.

I disagree about gay marraige, but God gave us free will so if that is want you want to do I will not stand in your way and will not judge (God said not to judge) it is not my place to judge, but to just accept people. I do not like " Christians" that damn people that is not what God wants, He just want us to live by? example but no one is perfect.

A straight person does not have the right to marry the same sex, if Gay peoplel do not have that right how is that un-equel. I? personally do not want to have the right to marry the same sex so why should you have that special right, it seem like you want more right than me.

You are completely missing the point; it teaches the values of acceptance of? others and the acceptance of equality despite what they personally believe.

In my opinion, the state should have no say in it,? for or against. There's a reason there was the whole separation of church and state.
By: weatherby551. on 22 May 12, 04:57:19
Actually, the world is chronically overpopulated and the rate at which we are growing and using resources? is unsustainable. So if you want to be totally scientific and logical about it, society needs gay couples as much as it needs straight couples. And that is assuming that gay couples don't have children, which is inaccurate, as other users have pointed out. It is actually beneficial to have gay couples who can adopt and parent orphaned children.
